You can feel it.
Society is at a turning. Happens.
Like an old friend you haven’t seen in awhile dropping over just in time for a fresh pot of coffee. People are starting to wake up from there multimedia nap.
Things have gotten so expensive that people are discovering books. Planting gardens. Enjoying the company of friends. Riding a bike.
I’m not saying that technology is a bad thing. Artificial intelligence isn’t real. A.I. will be what we want it to be because it’s part of you and me.
The renAIssance that is happening will be more organic than our masters want it to be. It will be an artistic expression that will rival the record player. Maybe even the printed page.
People have been pretty negative for a good bit but that never lasts.
The 1980’s started with style and ended with crass commercialism. The 1990’s started with people feeling good about buying clothes at goodwill. Rolling in the dirt. For some reason that cycle broke. Feels like times got good with mediocrity. The 2000’s seem like unseasoned Icelandic food. Hasn’t gotten better since.
Maybe it’s because I got older? Stopped feeling my DNA or something.
These kids today don’t act the way we think they should. They don’t understand anything about the way the world works.
Come to find out the world isn’t working the way we thought either!
We bought what we were being sold. We purchased every story told.
I don’t write very often but I am writing because I want to.
If you haven’t yet I urge you to read: The Creative Act by Rick Rubin. It will mean more to my musician friends but I think it’s a great fun read.
I would also like to point out that SoundCloud.com has maybe the biggest library of new music any human could ever listen to. Its free. You can also put your music on there as well. Even if you are terrible. I have music on there so….
I just want to thank the thousands of you who have signed up for the site in the last year! Seriously this site is really taking off.
Thank you!
